Matatini Ora – Diploma in Māori Public Health (Level 6) Māori Mental Health and Addiction

The New Zealand Diploma in Māori Public Health (Level 6) Māori Mental Health and Addiction is for health practitioners with advanced knowledge and understanding of mātauranga Māori, and extensive experience working with Māori communities.

This is a qualification specifically tailored to increase the Māori Health and Social Service workforce capability and capacity in Māori mental health and addiction practice

What you will learn

Graduates will be able to:

  • Matatini Ora is a Hauora Diploma that focuses on Health and Wellbeing, with a specific focus in Māori mental health and addiction.
  • The Diploma is situated within Kaupapa Māori Public Health qualification of NZQA with an endorsement in Māori mental health and addiction – this aligns well to a Wellbeing & Mauri Ora Construct
  • Graduates of this Diploma will have the transferable skills and knowledge to act effectively in community-based service delivery.
