Te Rau Ora

Te Rau Ora is a National Māori Organisation, with a focus on ‘nationally navigated and locally led’ solutions to strengthen Māori Health. Te Rau Ora does so by creating opportunities for learning, education, research and evaluation, health workforce innovation and systemic transformation. We believe that health sector transformation happens at a system level through raised awareness, knowledge, determination, and action. We believe that this is strengthened by leadership, commitment, and evidence base.

We believe that improved life outcomes happen when communities have access to relevant, quality, and positive health and educational opportunities. We believe that this is strengthened by self-determined communities leading local solutions.

Te Rau Matatau is a New Zealand Qualification Authority (NZQA) registered and approved tertiary training provider within Te Rau Ora.
